Obituary for Agnes Kos

Mrs. Agnes "Aggie" Kos, age 87, Of Quinnesec, Michigan passed Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, Byron Center, Michigan

Agnes was born July 24, 1926, in Chicago, IL. Daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Valenta) Lavrinec. She maried Frank Kos on July 24, 1952 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1985. While Living in Chicago, Agnes worked for Sears & Roebuck Company in the catalog department for over 30 years, retiring in 1987. In 2000 she moved to Kingsford.

Agnes enjoyed many hobbies including bowling, dancing, crafts, and attending TOPS. She lived a faith filled life and always enjoyed praying the rosary.

Agnes is survived by two daughters, Judy (Timothy) Link, Kentwood, Michigan, Marilyn (Richard) Virta, Quinnesec; one sister, Emily Kocurek; 6 Grandchildren, Daniel, (Jessica) Verbos,. Michael (Rose Gochenauer) Verbos, Diana (Michael) Peters, Julianne Verbos, Karen Virta, and Diana Link; 3 Great Grandchildren, Ava Peters, Foster Hunter, and Ava Hunter and Also Many Nieces and Nephews.

In Addition to Her Husband Frank, Agnes was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Lacko and Joseph Lavrinec; 2 sisters' Mary (Frank) Sladich and Virginia (Stanley) Cegielski; 1 Brother in law, Stanley Kocurek and a Special Friend James Reilly.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. (Please meet at the cemetery main office parking lot to drive to the grave in procession).
Memorials can be made to Faith Hospice at Trillium woods in her memory.

Agnes has a "Heart of Gold" that touched more lives than she ever realized.
